Center for Children and Families
We provide early intervention for men, women and children who are currently in a relationship where they are being abused but for many reasons do not leave the abuser. The Center reaches at risk families before they need shelter. The Center also provides counseling for clients after they graduate from the shelter and Second Step programs. Services offered at the Center include: individual and group counseling for children and adults, the Personal Empowerment Program (PEP), parenting education, legal advocacy and legal clinics, and help in locating and accessing social and community services.

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

PCIT is a positive and intensive treatment program designed to help both parents and children.

The unique aspect of PCIT is live coaching by the therapist. The therapist actually gives step by step instructions through a wirless earpiece worn by parent.

Trauma Therapy

Short-Term Cognitive Behavioral Trauma Therapy (up to 12 sessions)is an intensive treatment program designed to help children and teens ages 4-17 who have been traumatized by domestic violence or the risk of domestic violence in their families.
Batterer's Intervention Program

Human Options’ 52-week program is offered through our Counseling Center in Irvine. This is a court-mandated program to teach male and female batterers how to change their dysfunctional, violent and abusive behaviors.

The program is 12 months in length and meets the legal requirements for batterer's intervention and is certified by the Orange County Probation Department.
